Breaking Bad


Breaking Bad is a series of American television drama created and produced by Vince Gilligan. The series was originally broadcast in the United States and Canada by AMC pay-TV channel. The program debuted January 20, 2008 with a first season of seven episodes. Ended September 29, 2013 after five seasons. 

The story of Breaking Bad is set in Albuquerque, New Mexico (where it is also produced), and revolves around Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry high school teacher / medium unappreciated, with a teenage son who suffers from cerebral palsy (RJ Mitte) and a pregnant wife, Skyler (Anna Gunn). When the already tense White is diagnosed with lung cancer, collapses and embraces a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine with his former student Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), in order to ensure the financial future of your family in the case of his death.


Breaking Bad is widely regarded as one of the largest US television series of all time. By its end, the series was one of the most watched cable shows of American television. The show has received numerous awards, including ten Primetime Emmy Awards, eight Satellite Awards, two Golden Globes and People's Choice Award. In 2014 entered the Guinness Book of Records as the highest-rated series of all time, citing his fifth season with a Metacritic score of 99/100.

The main actor, Bryan Cranston, said in an interview that "the term 'breaking bad' is a southern slang which means that someone has deviated from the right path and started to do wrong. And this applies both to a certain point as the a lifetime.

The series takes place and is also filmed near Albuquerque, New Mexico.

 
The AMC network, which aired the series on January 20, 2008, originally asked nine episodes for the first season (including the pilot), but the strike of American Writers 2007-2008 limited the production to the seven existing episodes.

International distribution

In Australia, Breaking Bad was released on pay channel Showtime Australia on August 28, 2008.


In Brazil, Breaking Bad was released in the pay channel AXN in June 2010. In the Open TV, began airing dubbed by Rede Record on 14 January 2014.
