- ALF voice (Paul Fusco) - At first, ALF was a head that had the voice of Paul Fusco. Soon after, it became a fantasy.
- ALF disguise (Mihaly 'Michu' Meszaros) - During the series, when the character had to show the body, he wore the costume.
- Willie Tanner (Max Wright) is the head of the family, hates things that ALF is and always tries to keep everything in order. Basically, nourishes a great feeling for him, which does allow ALF in your home and always help.

- Neal Tanner (Jim J.Bullock) is the brother of Willie. He appears to be a naive person, and asks the others to solve their problems. Neal finds Willie after separating from his wife, Margarett. He knows of the existence of ALF because of Willie, who insisted that the ALF knew, which begins a friendship between the two.
- Whizzer (Paul Dooley) is Dorothy's husband, mother Kate, who married him after losing her husband. As Dorothy, he knows of the existence of ALF and also secretive about it.
- Jody (Andrea Covell) is a blind woman. She appears in the episode where ALF wanted to have a secret romance without spoiling your identity. She knows ALF exists, but does not know he is an alien. Only note difference when you touch and feel the ALF and by his short stature.
- Larry (Bill Daily) is a psychologist who knows of the existence of ALF, but help. He knows ALF when Willie asks him to help him solve problems with the alien, especially in the episode in which the alien uses a ventriloquist dummy to vent their problems.
- Dorothy (Anne Meara) is Kate's mother. she discovers ALF when going to visit her daughter. Always fight with ALF, but they understand especially when the alien gives advice that help or when he tries to be cool. When Dorothy was depressed about her husband's death, the ALF helps to be happy again.
- Jake Ochmonek (Josh Blake) is a boy who knows of the existence of ALF. He is the nephew of Rachel and Trevor Ochmonek and also secretive about the existence of ALF. The two are close friends and Jake lives disturbing Lynn with sung.
