First season (2008)
The first season was originally intended to nine episodes, but due to strike in 2007-2008 Writers Guild of America only seven episodes were filmed. The first season premiered on January 20, 2008, and was completed on March 9, 2008. The teacher of high school chemistry, Walter White (Bryan Cranston), is diagnosed with advanced lung cancer and inoperable. In a walk with your brother, which is a DEA agent Hank (Dean Norris), Walter sees a former student of him, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), fleeing the scene of a meth lab. Later, he finds Jesse and devises a plan to become partners in an attempt to match your skills to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine. Walter says he wants to give financial stability to his pregnant wife, Skyler (Anna Gunn) and his disabled son, and to pay his expensive cancer treatment. During the first days of sale, Walter and Jesse in Albuquerque, face a number of problems with local dealers. He continues to produce methamphetamine, despite these setbacks under the nickname 'Heisenberg'.
Second season (2009)
On May 7, 2008, AMC announced that Breaking Bad was renewed for a second season of 13 episodes. Production began in July 2008, and the season premiered on March 8, 2009 and completed on 31 May 2009. Walter still find themselves facing insurmountable medical bills of your cancer treatment. Despite having had several bad experiences to produce methamphetamine with Jesse, Walter agrees to resume partner. The two begin to produce methamphetamine, but face many problems. The friend of Jesse, Badger (Matt L. Jones) is fastened to sell methamphetamine in a police operation. Walter hires a lawyer, Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), to help Badger. Walter and Jesse drive a trailer to the desert and produce methamphetamine for four days. Later, Combo, other friends and Jesse distributors, is killed by a rival gang for selling meth in their territory. Saul suggests that the two find a new distribution model. Meanwhile, Jesse has been building a relationship with your neighbor and landlady, Jane (Krysten Ritter). Jane is revealed to be recovering from addiction, but passes through relapses and the two begin to inject heroin. Walter finds a new business partner, Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito), who is willing to pay $ 1.2 million for the 17 pounds of methamphetamine they produced. Walter hastily offers the product for Gus, but misses the birth of his daughter. Walt holds half the money because of the use of Jesse drugs but Jane finds out about this and blackmails Walt. Walt visit to Jesse's house and sees Jane drown in his own vomit while sleeping, but does nothing to save her. Skyler confronts Walter about his frequent absences and excuses. She begins to piece together his secret life and requires them to separate.
Third season (2010)
On April 2, 2009, AMC announced that Breaking Bad was renewed for a third season of 13 episodes. Walter wants to reunite his family, but Skyler still suspected of Second Life of Walter. Walter believes he can fix the tension between them, confessing that he has been producing methamphetamine. Skyler is appalled by the confession and requires a formal divorce. Meanwhile, Gus offers to pay the Walter US $ 3 million for three months of their service. He even offers to provide Walter with a production unit and a bright lab assistant, Gale (David Costabile). Jesse continues to produce and sell meth for yourself. Hank is working with the DEA to investigate Jesse and is slowly gathering evidence to make an arrest. Jesse Walter threat report to the police if he is arrested, but Walter offers him the Gale position in the laboratory. After obtaining the position, Jesse starts stealing meth lab and sell it in secret. Jesse became romantically involved with a woman he meets on his rehabilitation group and discovers that his younger brother, aged 11, was placed by Gus and his street dealers to kill Combo. Jessie decides to avenge Combo. Walter helps Jesse to escape the wrath of Gus. Gus begins to lose confidence in Walter and asks Gale to take the lab. He orders his henchmen to kill Walter and Jesse. After he is kidnapped by thugs, Walter tells Jesse to kill Gale by phone, in order to force Gus not kill Walter (and, by extension, Jesse) so that it does not eliminate the only remaining chemical trained.
Fourth season (2011)
On June 14, 2010, AMC announced Breaking Bad has been renewed for a fourth season of 13 episodes. Production began in January 2011, the season premiered on July 17, 2011, and concluded on 9 October 2011. Jesse follow the instructions and Walter murders to kill Gale. Gus decides to discipline the two by applying more stringent policies in the laboratory. It also tries to break the friendship of Walter and Jesse, giving them separate work details. While working on Walter methamphetamine lab, Jesse accompanying Mike (Jonathan Banks), one of Gus performers, payments to retrieve and provide support. Walter and Jesse are increasingly distant and hostile to each other. Meanwhile, Hank, who has been recovering from his last involvement in the cartel, discovers evidence linking Gale with Gus. He believes that Gus was a large distributor of drugs and begin to look for tangible evidence to press charges. Gus realizes close ties with Walter Hank that could compromise your entire operation. Gus threat Walter and threatens to kill his entire family. Jesse and Walter put their differences aside and accept the murder of Gus, convincing the former executor of the cartel Hector Salamanca to detonate a suicide bomb; Hector succeeds in this endeavor, killing himself, Gus, and Tyrus, Gus's henchman. Walter and Jesse, then destroy the meth lab and Walter says to his wife, "I won."
Fifth season (2012-13)
On August 14, 2011, AMC announced that Breaking Bad was renewed for a fifth and final season consisting of 16 episodes. The season is divided into two parts, each consisting of eight episodes. The first half premiered on July 15, 2012, while the second half premiered on August 11, 2013. After the death of Gus Fring, Walter creates a partner with Jesse and Mike to create a new meth production and distribution operation. Mike deals with all aspects of the partnership business while Walter and Jesse work with a fumigation home team to produce methamphetamine in tent houses. Hank and the DEA are able to identify nine prisoners and an attorney with criminal links with Mike. Walter kill Mike then hire Jack Welker, the leader of a neo-Nazi gang, to kill the ten informants from prison. Walter businesses continue unimpeded until he decides to retire after accumulating $ 80 million. Later, Hank is invited to the home of the White, where he accidentally stumbles upon one of Walter's books with a message signed by Gale Boetticher. He realizes that Walter is the Heisenberg and secretly restart the investigation. Hank makes a covenant with Jesse, who now despises Walter for all his transgressions. Left with no other options, Walter hires Jack again to kill Jesse. Walter tries to face Jesse in the desert, but Hank is a trap and hold. The neo-Nazi gang arrives and Hank engages in a fierce firefight. Jack runs Hank despite Walter appeals. Jesse is captured and coerced to produce methamphetamine for the gang. Before leaving, Jack and his gang takes most of Walter's money, leaving you with only $ 11 million. Skyler and Walter Jr. are devastated by the death of Hank and leave Walter responsible. They refuse to leave Albuquerque with Walter and, instead, contact the police. Walter spends the next several months hiding in a cabin in New Hampshire while fighting cancer. He returns to New Mexico to visit his family one last time and seek revenge against Jack. Later that night, Walter killing all members of the gang and freed Jesse, who escapes the compound before the police arrive. Walter realizes that he is mortally wounded from a shot and slowly succumbs to his injuries while police search the compound.
